PXE v1
The BootManage® PXE PROM for this network adapter / chipset is compatible with the
PXE specification version 1. At this time, there is no PXE v2 code available for this adapter / chipset.
PXE v2
The BootManage® PXE PROM for this network adapter / chipset is compatible with the
PXE specification version 2.
DIL28
The adapter is equipped with an empty DIL-28 socket, so the BOOT-PROM code ships in a matching
DIL-28 chip. DIL (Dual-In-Line) chips are also known as DIP (Dual Inline Package) chips, both terms are synonymous.
A DIL-28 chip has two rows of 14 pins each.
DIL32
The adapter is equipped with an empty DIL-32 socket, so the BOOT-PROM code ships in a matching
DIL-32 chip. DIL (Dual-In-Line) chips are also known as DIP (Dual Inline Package) chips, both terms are synonymous.
A DIL-32 chip has two rows of 16 pins each.
PLCC32
The adapter is equipped with an empty PLCC-32 socket, so the BOOT-PROM code ships in a matching
PLCC-32 chip. A PLCC-32 (Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier) chip has approximately the size of a thumbnail, is almost square, and has electrical contacts on
all four sides.
FOB
The adapter is equipped with a Flash-On-Board, i.e. with a FLASH chip that is directly soldered to
the adapter board. As there is no socket used, the FLASH chip cannot be physically removed or exchanged. For such
adapters, the BOOT-PROM code ships on a diskette, together with a programming utility and a license counting mechanism.
