Boot Management

A "Boot Management" system manages the boot process of networked computers (desktops, laptops and servers) in company environments.

Ideally, the managed computers boot from the network (via a network boot code like the TCP/IP BOOT-PROM or PXE PROM code), so that they do not require any local boot or installation media.

This allows completely automating the initial boot, OS installation and reinstallation process (including remote wakeup and shutdown), as well as implementing emergency boot procedures and diskless network booted terminal clients.
